Melrose Family Dentistry has been serving the Melrose community for over 35 years. We pride ourselves in trust and relationships that we have built with the people and families in our community. Our staff is highly experienced and will strive to make you feel confident and comfortable with every visit you have.
Dr. George A. Surabian grew up in Winchester and was a 1978 graduate from Winchester High School. He graduated from Boston College cum laude in 1982 with degrees in Biology and Psychology. He received his doctorate from Tufts University of dental medicine in 1986, and completed a general practice residency at the VA Medical Center Brockton/West Peabody, as well as a fellowship in oral surgery at Mass General Hospital. Dr. Surabian enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, and coaching youths in local sport teams.
Dr. Gabriel Schweier, DMD / MS, received his DMD degree in 2006 from the Tufts University School of Medicine, where he received multiple merit scholarships and awards for outstanding academic achievement. He earned a Masters in Healthcare Adminstration in 2001 from D'Youville College in Buffalo and in 1999 received an MD degree from Palacheho University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. He is regularly taking continuing education classes to keep his knowledge up to date to provide the best possible care to his patients. Dr. Schweier is Invisalign and CEREC certified and a graduate of the Implant Dentistry Continuum at NYU. After practicing in Chicago, he is happy to return to his beloved east coast together with his wife Paula and daughter Ella.
Dr. Tevyah Dines cares for our patients that are in need of endodontic treatment. Dr. Dines graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1997 and then completed a three year endodontic training program at Harvard which included patient care, biomedical research, and teaching. In addition to his endodontic certificate, Dr. Dines also earned a Master's degree in oral biology and upon graduation was awarded the prestigious Krakow Award for outstanding research, clinical acheivement, and professionalism in postdoctoral endodontics at Harvard University. Dr. Dines is an active member of Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Michele Crohin cares for our patients who are in need of periodontal treatment. Dr. Crohin is a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and a certificate of General Practice Residency (Brigham and Women's Hospital) in 1998. She received a Masters of Medical Sciences (MMSC) and completed her periodontal training at HSDM in 2001. Dr. Crohin has been Board Certified in Periodontics since 2005 and recertified in 2008. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
